Imagine 300 Video

logo

The Imagine 300 Committee created a fabulous video that was debuted at the Back to School Fair on Thursday evening.  The video includes several moving interviews with students, teachers, and parents that have benefited from programs funded by the PTSA. It shows the professional skills of our school’s industry parents. And even more, it shows off their care and dedication for the level of support the school receives. Here is a short clip from the film…

If you didn’t get a chance to see the film Thursday night, there is now a website where you can view clips of the film. And, more importantly, there are links to make an immediate donation to the PTSA for this year’s Imagine 300 campaign. We are already off to a great fund-raising start. But we need EVERYONE to make their contribution to the Imagine 300 campaign to keep up our momentum and deliver all the amazing services offered at Woodlake through financial support of the PTSA. Please browse over to the site and make a donation today!

Casting Call – Imagine 300

Casting Call – Imagine 300

Does your kid love doing art at Woodlake?
Music?
Field Trips?
Is your child in PALS?
Love P.E.?
The Library?
Have any of these programs made a BIG IMPACT on your child?
Do you want to be in a video for Woodlake that is going to radically help the school and these programs?

The PTSA and a new committee (Imagine 300) are producing a video to inform and inspire Woodlake families about these amazing programs that our school offers. We are looking for parents and students with unique stories to appear in the video.

We need to talk to:

  1. STUDENTS who have been inspired or changed by art, music, library, field trips, P.E., computers, or PALS programs at Woodlake.  Maybe a student was once shy and found her place or voice at the school with one of these programs.  Or maybe it’s just a kid who REALLY LOVES one of these programs and will share that excitement with us.  Or maybe your child found his Best Friend through mutual interest in one of these programs.
  2. PARENTS who have memories of being inspired, moved, or changed by any of these types of programs while they were in school.  For me, I remember in 4th grade I was crazy about Van Halen.  In music class we were taught how to play the first few chords of “JUMP” on the keyboard.  It was so exciting and amazing- in that moment anything was possible.  I remember I rushed home and begged my parents for a keyboard.  We ended up getting piano- I’ll never forget that 4th grade music class.  Simple stories like this one is what we are looking for.

Please spread the word about this important video, which will help continue these programs all our kids deserve. Please ask everyone you know if they fit any of these criteria or know anyone who does! The shoot will only take about 30-45 minutes per parent/child combo.

Please send names and/or contact info for anyone who might be interested in sharing their stories with us to:

Ginny Haase: vschaase@mac.com (818) 836-0369

Please email me if you have ANY questions about the video!  We need to get a list of people quickly, so this is time-sensitive.  I’m hoping to hear from a lot of you! Many thanks!
