We are having our Kid Art fair next Thursday (Dec. 17th). It is the fundraiser where your child’s art will be placed in a frame that you may wish to purchase. It will be on display in the library. This is a great fundraiser, but requires some prep work. So what we are asking you is for any amount of time you can volunteer in the library to either help prep, set up, and/or help sell.
Here’s what we need:
Times will be during school hours, but if we don’t finish we might run into after school hours.
Please let us know if and when you are available. Come join us in the fun and hang out for one last time in 2009!

Woodlake has some exciting news! We’ve just joined the eScrip Recycling Program. This program is FREE and provides convenient locations for collecting used laser/toner and inkjet cartridges, used cell phones, digital cameras, iPods, GPS devices and laptops while raising funds for our school.
How the program works: Collection bins or boxes, clearly marked and accessible during normal school hours, will be placed at the school office. You can drop off your recyclable items whenever it’s convenient for you. Periodically, our school will mail the items collected at our school to the eScrip Recycling offices. eScrip Recycling will then deposit funds electronically in our groups account!!!
Did you know that every second of every day nine ink cartridges are thrown away? Help us turn this waste into CASH! Please donate your cell phones, digital cameras, GPS devices, cartridges, iPods and laptops by placing them in the collection bins found at area locations throughout the school.
Not only is this an easy way to raise funds, it also teaches our students valuable lessons about the variety of materials that can be recycled and it helps them develop life long patterns.
This program will not be successful without the support of the community and people like you. Thank you for your help in recycling.
Wonderful Woodlake Presents our annual Winter Program.
On December 17th, you will be able to enter the Woodlake Art Gallery to view your child’s art placed in beautiful, matted frames that PTSA is offering for purchase. After your child’s musical program, please go to the library to view and purchase these wonderful pieces of art. Your child has brought home an RSVP card, from KidsArt Fair, that will enable you to view the art framed. The RSVP does not obligate you to purchase, but it will give us the opportunity to frame your art for viewing. Woodlake PTSA will receive 20% of the purchase price which will be used to continue providing your child with the invaluable programs in place, like P.E., Touch of Art, Computer Lab, Music and more. We know you will be thrilled with the quality of the frames –and your child will be thrilled to have their art on your wall! Please – return your RSVP cards and come to the library on DECEMBER 17th! We’ll see you there! For questions, please contact Allison Solomon at alisolly@gmail.com.
